The film was made during my second residency at De Platoo. Inspired by spending entire days in a large building that stood empty for the summer, I observed how its character changed throughout the day due to light, weather, and the busy street outside. Each room is assigned a monologue written from various events in my own life, in which I wonder about power dynamics in relationships – from intimate romantic connections to involuntary encounters with strangers at an outdoor dining area. The film reflects on the experience of being a woman. Alone in public spaces, on a first date arranged through a dating app, and navigating social media’s awkward windows into the lives of past loves.
